FDC Fire Update

Fire Update

On Tuesday, March 4th, 2025, shortly after 1400 hours, our management was notified of a structure fire within our building.

Initial reports indicate that our business partners at Fabcore, who share the building with us, had an electrical contractor onsite performing upgrades in their division of the building. During the course of this work, an electrical fire occurred and rapidly spread into the attic.

All occupants and customer vehicles were promptly removed from the building. Thankfully, no injuries were reported and the preliminary inspection of FDC’s shop and office suggests that we have only sustained minimal smoke damage. Consequently, we anticipate that our daily operations of all divisions will resume to normal by the end of the week. However, we anticipate some delays in with certain products we source through Fabcore.

We extend our deepest sympathies to our friends at Fabcore, who have endured significant damage to their shop and machinery/equipment due to the fire, water, and smoke.

We are incredibly grateful to the Fort Wayne Fire Department for their prompt response and aggressive efforts in preventing further damage and spread of the fire. We also want to express our gratitude to the Fort Wayne Police Department, and our partners at Three Rivers Ambulance Authority, for their assistance.

Lastly, thank you to everyone who reached out and checked in on us. We appreciate you.
